Join Carol and Heloise for a get your hands wet and soapy workshop and learn all you need to know about creating a felted pod (bowl). Terms such as resist, rovings, blending, fibre, agitate, and staple length will become familiar and you will get first hand experience using common things such as bubble wrap, towels, soap, sheer curtains or netting, soap, and water in the felting process. We will also discuss the science behind felting.
The pod that you create will be one of a kind and can be used for storing a variety of small items (e.g. paper clips, hair pins, knitting notions, and jewelry) or it can simply be a piece of art to be admired.
Participants should bring the following: a Tea Towel, Bath / Bath Towel, and Apron. These should not be your best!
This workshop will be held in the workshop at Moose Meadows Farm. No experience necessary.

Note:
Moose Meadows Farm is a bona-fide working farm. Our front gates are kept closed for safety and we often have the "littles" (goats, sheep, donkeys, chickens, ducks, guinea fowl) wandering the front yard. Upon arriving at the farm, please come through the gates and close them behind you. If the gates are open, please come on in and you may leave them open. Please park your vehicles at the front of the house. The workshop is behind the house in our barn. The workshop is on the floor level of our barn. We do have an outhouse on site.
