NLWS Annual Fundraiser

Since 2019, True North Evergreens has created a wreath which is bid on through an online Auction on Facebook with all funds raised being donated to Northern Lights Wildlife Society (NLWS) . NLWS is based in the Bulkley Valley of British Columbia and is a re-wilding facility with a goal to provide young, injured, and/or orphaned wildlife a safe and healthy environment in which to thrive until they can be released back to the wild. Each wreath is decorated so as to capture the story of orphaned wildlife - typically a baby bear but in 2022 it was a beaver.

For 2025, we shall be fundraising in the name of the wee bear Kilkenny who was rescued in June, 2025.  The story goes that this was one of the fastest rescues as Kilkenny, who was tiny, literally climbed down from a dead tree and walked into the trap.  He must have been so hungry and he weighed in at only 10 lbs.
