Introduced in 2009, these wreaths are handcrafted with boughs of Douglas fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii) and / or subalpine fir (Abies lasiocarpa) and western red cedar (Thuja plicata). Twigs and /or falsebox (Paxistima myrinsites - a broadleaf evergreen) may also be added. Each wreath is unique are they are created individually and can be made upon request. We find that these wreaths are best simply decorated with a small bow, cones and faux holly berries (red, burgundy, gold, silver, pearl white). Each wreath is priced individually.

TIN IS IN - our 10th Anniversary Wreath
To celebrate our 10th year designing, creating and shipping evergreen products throughout North America. Tin is the traditional material for 10th Anniversaries. As such, this wreath is adorned with a large double "tin" coloured bow, "tin" ponderosa pine cones, a wooden tree, moose and rooster, and 6 Canadian handcrafted tin stars which can used as Christmas tree decorations (hookes are included). THE PATCHWORK WREATH - NEW for 2011
This unusual circular wreath appears more square than round. It is comprised of alternating groups of fir (subalpine fir / Abies lasiocarpa) and /or Douglas fir (Pseudostsuga menziesii), western red cedar (Thuja plicata) and lodgepole pine (Pinus contorta) providing quite a different look. The wreath is simply decorated with a bow on the side (of any specific colour) and 4 clusters of small cones with "faux" berries.

SOLSTICE CHARM
This wreath has been handcrafted from boughs of Douglas fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii) and lodgepole pine (Pinus contorta) and is decorated with a large bright red bow on one side and 4 large Norway spruce (Picea abies) cones with large red berries. This wreath was designed to symbolise Winter Solstice when the "sun returns" and the days become longer. Each cone represents a season and the red bow the sun.

MOOSE TRACKS CLASSIC
This wreath has been handcrafted from boughs of Douglas fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii) &/or subalpine fir (Abies lasiocarpa), western red cedar (Thuja plicata) and the ground cover false box (Paxistima myrsinites), when available. It is decorated with a 6 pine clusters (some with red berries) symbolising a "tracked pattern". Variations of this wreath exist including being "wrapped" with a thin ribbon. This wreath is one of our favourites.

WINTER'S SALUT

NORTHERN LIGHTS
This wreath has been created to symbolise the Aurora borealis or Northern Lights which dance across the dark winter skies of Canada. This wreath is comprised of a mix of Douglas fir (Pseudotsuga menziesiii) &/or subalpine fir (Abies lasiocarpa) and lodgepole pine (Pinus contorta) boughs and encircling the wreath are the colours of the Northern Lights. The wreath is decorated with items commonly used in the northern latitudes of Canada where the Northern Lights frequently appear (miniature wood skis and poles and snowshoes).

AULD LANG SYNE
This wreath was created to signify the New Year. Note the noise makers, champagne corks and flashy colours. Auld Lang Syne is a poem written by Robert Burns and it is scottish for "old long since" or "old long ago" or "days gone by". The poem is one of the best known songs in English speaking countries and throughout English speaking Canada, it is sung at midnight of December 31st to signify the beginning of a New Year.

THE GOLDEN GOOSE
This wreath was created in honour of the goose which is truly Canadian, mates for life and is the most widespread of geese in western Canada - the CANADA GOOSE (Branta Canadensis). The wreath is comprised of Douglas fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii) and/or subalpine fir (Abies lasiocarpa) and western red cedar (Thuja plicata) which have been dusted with a subtle gold lacquer. It is decorated with 3 clusters of gold spruce cones, 2 twig fans and 4 gold "spikes" from the Common Cattail (Typha latifolia) - a common and easily recognisable wetland plant.
